Ad-Aware is great I use it.
Spybot is also worth haveing its free and updates. It quite often finds thing that adaware has missed.

I use AVG Free, thats an anti virus software. Does anyone else?

I dont use a firewall, as my Router (Netgear DG834 V2) has one built in

Spybot is a good bit of software

Not heard of Windows Defender mind...

Hi,

These are the programs I been using with no problem for years:

NoAdware - anti spyware/adware

Avast - anti virus

ccleaner - registry cleaner, for better performance

Since I have winxp I have already installed firewall, so I turned that on. Windows updates is always on.

That is all.
