Re: Mates Marbella SPL car
Think he`s after though will know for sure tomorrow 165db when i ask him what figure he`s chasing, aint that far off at the mo,if anyones wondering why a marbella/panda its to do with how the air pressure inside reacts to the flat square shape and lack of interior, absorbent materials(full dash in other cars) reduce pressure inside the cabin-the lack of interior stuff increases the pressure inside the mic see`s thus giving ya a better chance.

Re: Mates Marbella SPL car
Dont think ive ever clayed above even when he first got it,trouble with adam is he likes it nice for the shows then parks it at work next to cars theyre either grinding stuff off/cleaning up or spraying.
Even after ive cleaned it up last night theres still a fine mist of overspray all over it pretty much-so i tend to get it as good as it ought to look-it aint a concourse competition he just likes it tidy. Got there at half 8 washed and leathered the car off in the dark pretty much other than the light "streaming"(i wish)out of the unit shutter door. Did wheels with wonder wheels-harsh but does do what it says on the tin,its ok if you dont leave on long and rinse well though hardly ever use on the scooby. Adam and john his mate were finishing off some subs an stuff re-coning others, sorting out spare stuff to take with em in case they blow anything etc etc-its adam that seems to think johns in with a chance of a record with his(in his class)only running 1 sub an doin 157db(dont know wattage he`s using-lots though lol)will get pics of johns panda tomorrow-were there i were just busy.can tell ya its a fairly average size box but the ports massive. ![]() ![]() Front of adams sub box, they`re directly behind passenger seat with his new FI subs(never heard of em) ![]() Shocked how small the magnets were if im honest but says theyre 1.5db louder than the atomics he had in previously ![]() Were it not for all the crap in adams car/sub box(box is the only place to put luggage tools etc in adams car, from behind the front seats back the rests the box pretty much)i`d have got more pics -will get a few more tomorrow before they leave. Anyway after washing ads an leathering off just used poorboys professional polish then buffed off then applied jorgens Keep R wet glimmer wax(sealant-basically poorboys EX its simular) followed by mothers california gold pure carnauba wax. In an ideal world with more time/light it needed a harsh cutting polish before anything as theres still a faded look to the paint itself under the shine i created. Will post a pic of the pads i used in a bit before i wash em out though couldnt believe the crap that came off it bearing in mind ive done it twice before-though ya know what reds like for fading and adam wouldnt be able to say when it were last washed ![]() ![]() On the plastic side mouldings used autoglym rubber cleaner plus-its great for cleaning rubber and plastics, takes about an hour to fully dry and as it were 2am when i left had had enough so couldnt apply bumper care gel-hence im popping bk round tomorrow just to quickly go over bumpers/side mouldings. pics didnt turn out as well as i`d have liked but ya get the picture. After washing ![]() finished ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It`l do but its no showcar lol.

Re: Mates Marbella SPL car
Pads started out very close to the colour of the other type here with them but they`ll wash out.

![]() Don't think i could ever let my car get that dirty. Just out of interest Dave, how do you clean your MF pads? I usually just chuck mine when I've finished with them. Also do you wash you're MF towels after use. Again I usually use mine once and chuck 'em as I don't like the idea of using contaminated towels on my paintwork.Anyway Dave, regardless of what you say you've done an awesome job as usual. It really looks pretty darn good considering the base you started with and what you've got to work with. You've got some lucky mates. |

Re: Mates Marbella SPL car
His daily runabout
![]() ![]() ![]() Link to vid of his last competition van so ya get the picture he loves bass bless him, check his mates face out though it does get ya to panic a bit-obviously no good for ya ![]() Wayne regarding the pads i left them to soak in degreaser/hot water then rung em out well an rinsed em a few times, would say theyre 90% clean but wont use on my scooby again(had em a while so dont owe me anything)generally other than "actual" waxes on meguiars sponge pads everything except blackfire an that four star stuff washes out with just fairy liquid though i always keep each pad/sponge applicator for one product generally. Think theres proper stuff to clean em and extend the life but ya can go on forever, generally if ya wash em out the same day theyre ok.
