Re: POLISH QUESTION
I use the autoglym simply because it is all i can get here that is half decent. It's not too bad and does leave a nice shine but can be a bit of a git do buff out and is pretty dusty. If you're interested in any alternatives then i would suggest reading through any of UKDaves threads on the subject. He wrote loads of excellent threads on all aspects of detailing.
This thread shows the stages i go through on my car and also shows the shine you get from the Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Blackfire results are in! |

Re: POLISH QUESTION
Hi folks bk just popped bk,currently narrowed down what im using to
Poorboys professional polish Poorboys Professional Polish Its like a mild cutting polish wouldnt recommend using it regular maybe once every few month(only if needed) Glazes are optional if your cars got loads of swirls can help mask them and give better depth to the end shine but ive pretty much stopped using it now. Blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection (sealant) Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection - Blackfire Car Care and Detailing Products Then topped with chemical guys 5050 limited edition pastewax The finest car care and automotive detailing products available. Its good but to be fair prefer petes 53 wax at the same price,At £25 pretty sure collinite 915 still beats any ive used on my colour scooby-thats what i`ll be buying again next i think. pics below are poorboys professional polish/followed with blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection/followed up with chemical guys 5050 wax and a wk later after just a wash and leather off pinnacle signature series II wax straight on.(just using the pinnacle up) Tried the pinnacle but found it just gave gloss not any kind of depth however some waxes give more depth than shine-hence here ive used one over the other to create the best of both worlds. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() At some point soon want to get bk to just the poorboys/blackfire and collinite 915 wax. (hi wayne by the way )If all anyones after is a one step product thats cheap wont go far wrong with einszett metallic polishwax at £9.99 Its a good cleanser gives good depth and shine. einszett Car Care Products | Paintwork & Metal Care 3rd one down on that page (its ok for flat colours aswell as metallics) Also worth mentioning your best using it on a microfibre or terry cloth pad as opposed to a sponge applicator as the sponge doesnt agitate the polish/paintwork enough then buff off with microfibre cloth. Sorry for the long post.......
