Blackfire Products

I've finally found somewhere that will ship All finish paint protection to me in here in Japan from the states. Only costs $25.00 too.

Question is, what are there other products like? Thinking of giving one of their waxes a go whilst I'm on the site. The midnight sun paste wax is a bit pricey at $70.00, but if it's decent I'm willing to give it a go. Probly give their polish a whirl as its pretty cheap and to make the shipping cost worthwhile may as well spend a bit.

I bought the ivory carnauba wax with it wayne an just thought it were ok however were on offer at the time or i wouldnt have bothered (imo) you`d be better with collinite 915 if ya can get it (alot cheaper)imo the ivory carnauba wax by blackfire is no better than petes 53 by chemical guys £20,though i wont be buying any more of that either

I`d have to see some stunning examples of (before and after wax)for the midnight sun as trust me collinite 915 gives a noticeable difference after 1 coat not several and is only £25,dont get me wrong i sometimes use a couple of coats of some meself though its usually due to the fact i havent been happy with the outcome of 1 coat.

If i were forced to spend about £40ish on a wax would probably be swissol/swissvax samurai wax but imo from a looks point of view prefer collinite.

In all honesty though wayne build coats up with the blackfire all finish paint protection first you will be amazed-almost makes waxes redundant (imo)

Cheers Dave.

Tbh, I've had a look for the Collonite but can't find anywhere that sells both and is willing to ship to Japan. Get pricey if i start ordering stuff from different shops. I want the Blackfire more so I'll be ordering that first. I'm also pretty happy with the wax I've got and as its only 2,500 yen I'll stick with that until i can try out the Collonite.

When you`ve used your existing wax over the blackfire all finish paint protection(sealant)if youre not blown away with the finish the wax has left(happens sometimes where the wax doesnt leave as good a finish as a sealant on its own-depends on the wax), go bk over the wax(next day) with 1 coat of sealant -blackfire/poorboys EX whatever folks are using-its not gonna be recommended by anyone but me but i got great results using EX over collinite wax, obviously youre gonna lose the characteristics of the wax but finish wise-mint.(Pics below)

Oh yer sure ive mentioned this before but i found 1 coat of wax were better over blackfire all finish paint protection-gave the best of both worlds-tried a 2nd coat of wax and it seemed to cover the sealant too well if ya like spoiling the way it reflects light through the wax-its awkward to explain till youve tried blackfire all finish paint protection but does seem to reflect light different to anything ive ever used previously.

You will love it mate, good after 1 coat however build several up and you`ll be shocked

Ive ran out at the mo but will definately be buying more along with a few of my mates ive let borrow it.

Its on my shortlist of essential products

Best way to describe blackfire is in a pic, look at the sky reflections and how much brighter the reflection looks compared to a reflection of the sky on your own car on a sunny day,you really do get a brighter reflection.

This cars nothing to do with me though, saw it somewhere after a complete detail,Blackfire used.

Cheers again Dave!

That really was stunning. And at the price, what a bargain! Was gonna get a re-spray when i got back to UK but even if i had to pay double what that cost it's well worth it since decent a re-spray would be well into the thousands.

So Dave, you reckon you could get that kind of result?

could get close though remember thats been wet flatted down/machine polished beforehand however having seen the finish on yours mate and knowing how good blackfire is i`d say you`ll be very close.

Respray wise can get a good spray for a grand still here.dazs pulsar and adams 205 both cost a grand and on both there were a few dodgy bits.

Blackfires finally arrived.

Gonna be spending all day Saturday Beautifying the car. Will be claying, polishing etc. I do however have one question:

What will give the better shine; 2 coats of Blackfire or Blackfire followed by a decent Carnuba wax? Either way I'll leave the first coat of Blackfire overnight.

I'm tempted to go with 2 coats of Blackfire as the summers here are brutally hot (mid to high 30's are normal with 40 a possibility once or twice over the summer) and I know it will last better in the heat and is probably easier to apply and buff out. Ultimately though i want the best shine as I wash and wax almost every week at the moment anyway.

Youre just gonna have to experiment wayne matedefinately a couple of coats of blackfire though-see what ya think then mate or post results an i`ll tell ya what i think-closest colour to yours ive done with the blackfire were dazs arden blue astra vxr an to be honest we didnt use any wax-depends if you intend in a few wks building up a few more layers-if ya do give the wax a miss till youre happy with depth/clarity then finish it off with a wax.

Daz`s vxr, think this were after just 1 coat but definately no more than2 we were running out of good weather due to showers.
