Thinking of sticking to sealants rather than wax

Ive used several waxes some with good results others average an whilst i see benefits still prefer the shine of my car from using sealants.

I find it easier to wash as generally the bodyworks smoother and bearing in mind i still use a leather(autoglym aqua-dry) easier to leather off and just generally feels smoother to the touch.

A few waxes (not all) leave the finish a bit too much like hard work and a bit grippy especially for leathering off and to be honest blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection(sealant) gives lovely results on its own both visually and to the touch-im about out of it now as ive used it on a few mates cars-lee`s RS were the best ive seen it and adams 205 looked sweet.

Not sayin there aint a place for wax but personally i favour sealants especially Blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection (£21.95)even if it aint the most user friendly ive tried.

Ex would still be amongst my favourites mate but the blackfires loads better finish wise-just a pain to buff off,it leaves like a shimmering wet finish really glossy-downside is the price at £21.95,Next sealant i want to try is Klasse all in one.

and

http://www.motorgeek.co.uk/klasse-se...zes-p-209.html

If anyone tries them before me let me know what theyre like please

Heard good things

Tell ya what saturday if the weathers ok im supposed to be helping daz do his car if theres enough left to do both mine and dazs with the blackfire ill take pics an post em.

this were lees RS after it though ive posted it before i think-thing is at the moment i havent tried about 4 coats done consecutive weeks after washing to build the shine up just gave it 2 coats on mine straight after each other-pretty happy with that though.

Ended up just washing mine an leathering it off today went over it with blackfire the other wk and to be honest today couldnt see the benefit of going over again

And daz`s vxr after buffing first with a couple of menzerna products then blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection-neither cars had any wax today.

Well the sun teased me outside earlier to give mine the coat of blackfire i promised it yesterday then changed my mind only for it to piss down with rain 2/3 of the way through-great so anyway gave it an hour then finished of rest of the passenger side.

A few beadage shots nothing outstanding typical of any sealant ive used so far really-wont ever be as good as a wax in that respect.

werent leathering the car off for photos for it to rain again so these were of the side i had to finish later.

Cheating there youve probably noticed by the colours-camera set on chrome

natural pic below

Just enough left in the bottle to do lee`s RS so im giving him the rest of this blackfire-actually it does go quite a long way ive done quite a few mates cars with it-to see if they like it before they buy any.

In fact yesterday on dazs vxr hardly used any-applied/removed with portercable on his, applied using a softish pad and sonus microfibre bonnet removed with microfibre buffing bonnet.

Still never used pc or polisher on mine -all by hand.

No doubt i`ll get one eventually but not for use on mine it dont need it.

strange that-what from new??daz`had just got these an they were fine, obviously if the product dries up it will cause swirls however dont know if ya used it with poorboys if ya did its more than likely polish/sealant thats dried in the lid-i always unscrew the caps on any liquid polish/glaze whatever, as ya can sometimes get dried bits of polish in that pop up thingy if ya get me-get them on ya applicator/bonnet/pad and it will cause swirls.

We used them on daz`s at the weekend and now they`ll be washed however after washing would have to be perfect to the touch to use again and spotlessly clean-only other thing i suppose it could have been is dust/dirt/grit on the car whilst you were doing it(if it were outside-dont really recommend polish/waxing if its windy either as the crap thats blowing about can easily stick to a waxed/polished but not buffed panel) bear in mind you dont need much one bit of muck on the car then to get embedded in the microfibre bonnet could make a mess of the whole car.

If i were pushed into a corner by being asked which do you prefer would still be sealants over waxes i just find the car easier to wash with a sealant finish and feels better to the touch-just dont have that glow that a wax gives.

And now, also thanks to that tread that I posted before, finally, I can understand what you meant. Infact pictures clearly demonstrate the difference between wax and sealants. (but bottom line it is the same difference between a blondie and a brunette????) I prefer both of them (sealant and waxes, as well as brunette and blondie!!!!)

The red does show it best ya have to catch mine in the right light to show the difference between a sealant and wax finish-aint that obvious on dark blue.( @blonde/brunette)
