what is it with news bot?

First time that i have seen this on a forum (and I have been on a few)

Do you find it useful ?

Not sure that I like it as it gets difficult to see real posts by real people.

i dont mind it too much, just have a problem with some of the waaaaay outta date news.

(dont worry about the moaning you`ll fit right in)

its usually me moaning about something.

I tried adding news bot to my ignore list and it doesnt remove them from the postings listings, just the actual posts within a thread.

News bot only posts in news so exclude this forum and all will be revealed.

I think you might be looking in the wrong section.

You need to go to

user control panel
settings & options
edit options
miscellaneous options
get new posts

highlight what you don't want to appear in new posts, save changes and hopefully that should do it........ I think
