So far the site is working well in the opera web browser. The one major fualt is that I can't use the smilies. If I want to use them I've made a list of the codes so I can copy/paste or I'll just reply using internet exployer. The one minor fault is that opera doesn't like showing if a forum is read untill I go into it and see no highlited threads. The only problem with that is that it uses a small amount of your badwidth too often.

i use IE and firefox and all is very well... i suppose not many of our users use the opera browser (i know its very good / secure and quick)... i forum marking is currenlty set as follows: if this is an issue for others i can change however its more resource hungry for the server...

Database (no automatic forum marking) - this option uses the database to store thread and forum read times. This allows accurate read markers to be kept indefinitely. However, in order for a forum to be marked read when all threads are read, the user must view the list of threads for that forum.

Yah we are a rarer breed. tis the mouse gestures that thrill us. Looks like I'll be getting some use of them then. Thanks for looking into it.

Now I can bring up smileys and they for the most part work now. comes up as sometimes for some odd reason.
