For a number of reasons the Southern Big One cannot take place this year in the same format as in the last few years. Due to the retirement of the organiser it is also looking increasingly like the annual Alton meet is also off.

But fear not………..

Hampshire Subaru would like to invite you all to the Great Southern BBQ 08 (a sort of SBO lite if you like) so all of us in the south can get together at least once this year.

Pub will be open from 12:00 and food will be available from around 13:00

BBQ fare of Burgers, Hot Dogs, Kebabs and Salads etc on a pay as you dine cash basis, expertly prepared by the Pub's Chefs. I will post up details of the menu closer to the event.

Great selection of roads to get here so your convoys should be fun and Hampshire (at present) still has few fixed scamera sites (although I’m not condoning any poor driving Officer !!). Check out the map to see.

Mahoossive car park on a big field that is part of the pub grounds and no real restrictions on numbers. Safe for the kids to run around and play so this should be a great family day out very much like the SBO just less the animal park!

We are proposing to run an inter club/region competition (with prizes) of some traditional British silly games such as Welly Wanging, Tug of War and Egg Throwing etc

I need to confirm numbers with the pub one week before so when you put your names down please indicate many others will be in the car with you. It would be handy if you could make this in the form of how many adults and how many kids.

Please keep this thread just for numbers attending and start new threads for convoys (so I have all the attendees in one easy to find place and can then collate)
